This project was for a 200-level paper called ‘Typographic Systems’. I learnt the fundamental laws of graphic design through this paper. We were only allowed to use one typeface throughout the majority of the project to make sure we were following the ‘rules’. The brief saw us design the promotional material for Massey University’s ‘Exposure Exhibition.’ We had a set folder of images to use and 2 colours which we pulled from a hat. 

I loved this paper for the reason that it was very hard to be creative. Everything that you did had to be so specific that it became a challenge to show flair through your work. However, through my use of display type and imagery, I created a system which was unique to me and showed how I interpreted ‘Exposure Exhibition’.
